A helicopter firm is investigated for theft of Schumacher’s dossier

A major Swiss helicopter company is at the center of the investigation into the theft of the alleged medical record of German pilot Michael Schumacher, the daily “Dauphiné Libéré” reported today.

Michael Schumacher.

Michael Schumacher.

The IP address of the computer from which emails were sent to various media offering the sale of that document in exchange for 60,000 Swiss francs (about 50,000 euros) corresponds to a computer located at its headquarters, the newspaper indicates in its edition digital.
That company, according to his investigation, had been contacted in the days preceding the transfer of the seven-time Formula One world champion from the hospital in Grenoble (France) to another in Lausanne (Switzerland), with the aim of evaluating the possibility of a air evacuation.
“Dauphiné Libéré” points out that, as usual, a version of Schumacher’s medical dossier was sent to that firm so that one of his doctors could examine the equipment necessary for the transfer in mid-June, which was finally made by road.
The passages of that report that the seller offered to the media to prove its veracity, according to the source, correspond to the version transmitted to the doctor of that company.
If this clue is confirmed, suspicions both about the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Grenoble, where he was admitted for six months, since December 29, as well as the personnel who transferred him to Switzerland by ambulance, would be ruled out.
The Grenoble Prosecutor’s Office, which until now has been leading the investigation into this theft, announced today that it has transferred the case to the Swiss authorities, where the ex-pilot resides and is in the recovery phase.
His skiing accident, in which he hit his head against a rock, occurred on an unmarked track in the Méribel resort, where he owns a residence and where he practiced this sport with his son. EFE
