Ajax won the Netherlands classic against PSV Eindhoven (5-0) and strengthened the leadership of the competition, now five points ahead of their rival after ten games played.
In the Johan Cruyff Arena duel, Erik Ten Hag’s team was superior. PSV Eindhoven, rival of Real Sociedad in the Europa League, did not worry and came out badly against a superior team.
Roger Schmidt’s team sank after the break. He found no solutions to balance the score after Steven Berghuis, at 19 minutes, overtook Ajax.
It was after the intermission when the meeting was completely uneven. Especially with the goal from Ivorian Sebastian Haller, passed by Dusan Tadic, ten minutes into the second half.
The goal sank PSV, who collapsed. Brazilian Antony scored the third at game time and then Davy Klaassen made the fourth. In added time, Dusan Tadic rounded off Ajax’s win.
