Albert Pujols became the Dominican with the most walks received in MLB history.
Through the game of the Miami Marlins and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Albert Pujols walked in the eighth inning. That was the 1,339th of his career to surpass Álex Rodríguez and become the top walks leader in MLB history for the Dominicans.
Ortiz was 10 more walks from being the third Dominican with the most walks, to overtake Manny Ramírez, who was his teammate on the Boston Red Sox.
The Latino with the most walks in MLB history is none other than Bobby Abreu, one of the finest base robbers and one of the most disciplined in the batting box.
Rodríguez and Pujols are two great representatives of Latin baseball, idols of many who today point to or are stars in the Major Leagues.
Albert Pujols received his 1,339th BB tonight, the most for Dominican players in MLB history.
