First baseman Albert Pujols became the Dominican player with the most games played in the history of Major League Baseball.
Since Pujols made a presence on the field through the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game against the Colorado Rockies, Albert Pujols added his 2,934th game in the majors, beating Adrian Beltre’s 2,933.
No other Dominican has played more games than Pujols in the best baseball in the world.
It should be noted that Dominican players such as Octavio Dotel, Fernando Rodney, Jean Segura, among others have gone through many MLB teams, however, it is very different from exhausting a certain number of games.
Albert Pujols has played for the Anaheim Angels, St. Louis Cardinals and the Angels Dodgers.
Other Dominicans who have remained consistent for many years in the Major Leagues include Adrian Beltre, David Ortiz, Sammy Sosa, and Julio Franco. While the Dominican starting pitcher with the most games is Bartolo Colón.
Albert Pujols is the most respectable representation of the Dominican Republic with respect to baseball, he has never been seen in dressing room problems or in rumors of the use of prohibited substances, much less in cases of domestic violence. (Bolavip)
