Andy Murray to play doubles with his brother Jamie in Washington

Andy Murray will team up with his brother Jamie to play doubles in the Washington tournament, continuing his recovery from hip surgery.

Murray posted a video on Twitter Wednesday confirming that he will play with Jamie in the tournament, which begins on Saturday.

The former world No. 1 has been limited to playing doubles since he had his hip done in January. At Wimbledon he teamed up with Pierre-Hugues Herbert and in mixed doubles with Serena Williams.

Murray says he is “obviously very excited to be back on the court with Jamie,” but did not say if he will play the US Open, where he won the first of his three Grand Slam singles titles in 2012.

Murray says he hopes to “have a good summer in America, continue to progress physically, and hopefully be back on the court in singles soon.” AP
