Ángela Miranda to the III boxing cup

The greatest exponent of female boxing in Honduras, Angela Miranda, is in Guatemala to represent the country in the III International Cup of this discipline “Carlos Velásquez” that begins today and ends on Saturday.
Miranda moved with her coach René González, where she will seek the gold medal. The boxing competition will be held in the Plazuela de Jocotenango, Sacatepeque.
The catracha boxer is supported by the Honduran Olympic Committee, as the boxing athlete, who will participate in the pre-Olympic process with a view to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Athletes from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico and Puerto Rico attend, among other countries. Miranda is just recovering from chikungunya disease, so she only had a few training sessions before the trip, but she will fight with what she knows.
The first Cup was won by the Honduran in the 57 kilos category, last year she lost 60 kilos with the Pan-American champion and now she is back at 57 kilos. Before, she had won gold in another women’s competition in Guatemala at 54 kilos.
