A basketball jersey that belonged to former US President Barack Obama was auctioned on Monday for $ 120,000, said the house that organized the auction in the state of Texas.
The jacket, which bears the number 23, was used by the former president when he was 18 years old and was in his last year of secondary education at the Punahou High School in Hawaii, where he was living at the time, said the auctioneer Heritage Auctions.
Its price had been estimated before the auction at about $ 100,000.
Obama is a basketball fanatic, a sport that he practiced often when he was in the White House, with the staff of the presidency, celebrities, or guests. (AFP).
