After Sunday’s painful defeat in the Clásico against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona will try to resurface against another team from the capital, on Wednesday when they visited Rayo Vallecano on the 11th round of Spanish LaLiga.
The Barça team has had a very irregular trajectory since the beginning of this season, marked more by disappointments than by joys, and they need the three points at the Vallecas stadium to avoid losing their grip on the title fight.
Barça is ninth, with 15 points, 6 behind the leader (Real Sociedad) and 5 behind the second, Real Madrid.
In front of them they will have a Rayo who is recently promoted to the Spanish elite but who is responding very well in this League, helped by his Colombian star Radamel Falcao. He is seventh, even with one point more than Barcelona.
In the rest of the matches of the day, Real Sociedad, after its 2-2 draw on Sunday at Atlético de Madrid, will play as a visitor again, this time on Thursday at Celta de Vigo (14th).
Real Madrid plays before the Basque team and could become the provisional leader. He will host Osasuna (6th) on Wednesday, one of the revelations of this season in Spain.
