Benzema scores the 1,000th goal for Real Madrid in the Champions League

The French Karim Benzema, author of the 1-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk, has scored a historic goal, since it is number 1,000 in the history of Real Madrid in the Champions League, becoming the first club to achieve it.

It has done so after 455 games, the one that has played the most in the first European competition at club level, in which it has become the most successful club with 13 trophies in its showcases.

Three of the top scorers in the history of the Champions League have enlarged or forged their legend by wearing the white jersey. The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo (140), the one who has scored the most, Benzema (73) and the Spanish Raúl González Blanco (70). EFE (HN)
