Brazilian tennis player Joao Souza, number 422 in the ATP ranking, was suspended by the Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) for violating anti-corruption regulations.
The South American player was already sanctioned on March 29 but had to be reinstated after appealing and no evidence was provided of the facts of which he was accused.
Joao Souza returned to the circuit and was currently competing in Mexico where he was playing a challenger category tournament.
On this occasion, the TIU has presented a new document that demonstrated the irregularities committed by the Brazilian, suspended with effect from April 17, 2019 to compete or attend any event organized or recognized by the governing bodies of the sport.
No further appeals will be accepted and the sanction will remain in effect until anti-corruption officer Richard McLaren issues a resolution. EFE
