British motorcycle racer dies at Macau Grand Prix

British rider Daniel Hegarty died in an accident at the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, a historic race, after losing control of his machine, for which he collided violently with a barrier on the circuit.

The race was immediately stopped after the accident that occurred on the sixth lap.

Topgun Racing Honda team member Hegarty, who was 31 years old, was thrown off his motorcycle in a corner. Immediately transferred to the hospital, he finally succumbed to his injuries.

The organizers of the Macau Grand Prix expressed their “condolences to Daniel’s family and friends.”
