Brooklyn Nets halted Clippers’ streak

Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers met on Tuesday night in the NBA, being one of the most interesting games of the week in the previous one. Fortunately for the fans, the meeting met expectations and they provided a great show at the Barclays Center in which the winner was defined in the final minutes.

The crash was interesting because of the names, but also because of the change of posts. The Clippers were the best team in depth of the 2019-20 season roster, while now the Nets top the list with the most striking players in the NBA. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden came to break the duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The Los Angeles Clippers started the game for what they are: the best record in the NBA. Led by Kawhi Leonard, the California franchise took the first quarter 32-24 and even obtained a maximum difference of 11 points (56-45) three minutes from the end of the first half. However, the Brooklyn Nets should never be ruled out: they gritted their teeth and went down to the locker room just one point down 58-57.

The trend continued in favor of the locals, until they achieved their maximum difference in the marking (67-63). But, obviously, the visit was not going to say goodbye so quickly and, led by George, they returned to the top at the end of the third set. Brooklyn brought out his entire arsenal and, with a huge Irving accompanied by Harden and Durant, he went six points up with a 13-2 run. Too much difference: The Nets beat the Clippers 124-120.

Kyrie Irving showed why he is one of the best guards in the entire NBA and, again, he demonstrated his talent and scoring power. The Brooklyn Nets player finished the night with 39 points and 5 rebounds, well accompanied by a 28-point Kevin Durant and 23-point James Harden, 14 assists and 11 rebounds. For his part, Kawhi Leonard could not avoid the loss of the Los Angeles Clippers, although he left with 33 points. (GG) (Bolavip)
