Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev has tried to justify his kiss on the mouth of American journalist Jenny Sushe at the end of a live interview – criticized as an act of harassment – by claiming they are friends and he was euphoric.
Last weekend Pulev knocked out Romanian Bogdan Dinu in a super heavyweight class fight in California (USA) and at the end of an interview he kissed the Vegas Sports Daily reporter on the mouth.
The boxer’s attitude has been widely criticized on social networks, where many users describe it as a case of harassment by forcing the journalist to receive a kiss without her consent while she was working.
The journalist herself, through Twitter, described what happened as “embarrassing” and “strange.”
«Actually with the reporter, with Jenny, I have a friendship and that’s why I kissed her. Later that night, she joined my other friends in the party for victory in the match, “Pulev explained to Bulgarian television Nova TV.

The boxer assured that it was a “friendly kiss” as a result of the “emotion” he felt after having won the fight.
“We know each other, she is a friend of mine and she was with us before and after the fight,” he said.
The reporter’s outlet, Vegas Sports Daily, said in a statement that they are investigating what happened but, in any case, the kiss was “completely unjustifiable” and shares Sushe’s “shock” and “outrage”.
“We want to make it clear that women must feel safe and comfortable to carry out their work obligations, free from abuse and harassment,” said the outlet. EFE
