Spanish Formula One driver Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) assured that the Monte Carlo street circuit, where the Monaco Grand Prix will be held this Sunday is “special for all pilots.”
“Monaco is one of my favorite circuits because it is very special, not only for me but for all the drivers. It is a demanding and exciting Grand Prix », explained the Madrid driver in statements provided by his team.
Sainz, who was sixth in the last Spanish Grand Prix and has twelve points in the five races this season, described each sector of the circuit, starting with the first corner, where “there is only room for one car” and it is easy ” get “stuck” if you go half way back in the exit formation.
«Turns 3 and 4 are probably the most glamorous of the World Cup, when you pass the Casino and Café de Paris. It’s very special when you’re driving for the first time, ”explained the Toro Rosso driver in his second Formula One campaign.
Sainz explained that turn 10 is the bumpiest. “You just need to see my camera in the fight with Ericsson (Sauber) in the race last year,” he added.
For the Spanish rider, the last sector is his favorite part, as it has fast corners. “I’m looking forward to driving there again this weekend,” he concluded. EFE
