Chile prohibits Mike Tyson from entering

Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was prevented from entering Chile upon his arrival at the Santiago international airport for failing to comply with immigration laws, and will be deported to the United States on an upcoming flight, local authorities reported.

“Detectives from #PoliceInternacional re-embark Mike Tyson for not complying with the Immigration Law,” the Chilean Investigative Police reported on its Twitter account along with a photo of the famous athlete seconded by agency personnel.

The “Immigration Law empowers the PDI to prohibit the entry into the country of any foreigner who has a negative record and / or convictions in their country of origin,” said the PDI to La Tercera when asked about the causes of the expulsion of the former world boxing champion.
