Chris Paul set to return in Suns-Clippers third game

Veteran Chris Paul, out of the NBA’s coronavirus protocols for a week, is shaping up to rejoin the Phoenix Suns in the third game of their series against the Los Angeles Clippers, who will continue without their star, Kawhi Leonard.

In the NBA’s daily casualty report, the Suns reported Paul as “likely” for Game 3 of the Western Conference final Thursday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, while Leonard is listed as “out.”

Despite the absence so far of Paul, their game director and leader on the court, the Suns lead the Clippers 2-0 in this series (best of seven games), who remain unconfirmed if they will be able to count on Leonard at some point in the tie.
