Cristiano and Button drive together at the Jarama Circuit

he Portuguese Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and British Formula 1 driver Jenson Button (McLaren) today shared some driving challenges at the Jarama Circuit organized by a watch brand that sponsors them.
Button first showed Ronaldo how to turn himself with the car, a McLaren 650S sports car. The British made these drifts, called ‘donuts’ that the Portuguese tried to emulate later.
The English driver then made a few turns again, this time with the aim of getting Ronaldo to sneak a ball into the convertible car.
Throughout the morning both athletes showed good harmony and shared some jokes.
Later, Button gave Ronaldo a full lap of the Madrid circuit, in which he managed to exceed 245 kilometers per hour, according to the English pilot.
Ronaldo also had his turn to attempt the fastest lap riding alongside a McLaren technician, although he decided to do it without a helmet, unlike Button.
Finally, both Button and Ronaldo took the wheel of a McLaren and did several laps together in two cars: Ronaldo in a black McLaren P1 and Button in an orange McLaren 650S with which they did the rest of the tests.
The challenges were organized by the watchmaking brand Tag Heuer, which sponsors both, under the slogan: “Don’t crack under pressure” (“Don’t crack under pressure”, according to the official slogan in English). EFE
