Cuadras hopes to resolve before Estrada and then he will go for ‘Chocolatito’

Mexican boxer Carlos Cuadras said today that he hopes to resolve in his favor a fight against his compatriot Juan Francisco Estrada, on September 9 in Carson, California, and then fight with the Nicaraguan Román ‘Chocolotatito’ González.

The three along with the Thai Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, world super flyweight champion of the World Council of Boxing(WBC), will star in two bouts, the winners of which will later face each other for the title to which Cuadras aspire and where he wants to face González, who has already defeated Cuadras and Estrada.

“I want González to win because I have a pending account with him, I want to face him again and win the belt again,” Cuadras said at a WBC press conference in Mexico City.

Cuadras and González faced each other on October 9, 2016 and after twelve intense rounds the judges gave the Nicaraguan a unanimous decision with scores of 115-113, 116-112, 117-111.

«Estrada is a great fighter, tough and strong, but I am preparing to win. He throws a lot of shots and good combinations and I’m working on it, “explained Cuadras, who knows that to beat Estrada he has to improve his defense.

“Estrada is one of the most difficult fighters in the division but there is also the Japanese Naoya Inoue,” Cuadras said. Inoue will also be present at the function to defend the World Organization super flyweight title. Boxing (OMB).
