Del Potro and his coaches break professional ties

Argentine tennis player Juan Martín del Potro, who is fighting a chronic injury to his left wrist, no longer has a coach and physical trainer, as announced on social media.
“Hi all. I want to tell you that Franco (Davín, coach) and Martiniano (Orazi, physical trainer) have stopped being my coaches. I only have words of thanks for the years we have worked together and I wish you the best,” Del Potro wrote in a statement he shared on social media.
The tennis player also sent “a special thanks to their respective families for the warm support beyond tennis” in the same letter.
Under Davín and Orazi, Del Potro won the 2009 US Open and rose to No. 4 in the ATP world rankings two years later.
Del Potro, 26, underwent three operations on his left wrist, the first in March 2014, the second in January 2015 and the last in June 2015, and the date of his return to the circuit is unknown.
