The Brazilian Lucas di Grassi (ABT Schaeffer) won today the fifth round of Formula E that took place in Mexico City, followed by the Belgian Jerome D’Ambrosio (Dragon Racing) and the Swiss Sebastien Buemi (Renault e.Dams) .
Di Grassi leads with 101 points, six more than Buemi. Di Grassi practically sentenced the race on lap 24
when he overtook D’Ambrosio in an aggressive but risky action in one of the chicanes of the 2.25 kilometer circuit.
A lap earlier, the drivers entered the pits to change vehicles and the best strategy after 43 laps was that of the Brazilian.
After Di Grassi’s passing, the race was marked by the duel for second place between D’Ambrosio, who won the first position of the starting grid, and Buemi, who completed the fastest lap.
