Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic regretted the postponement of the Olympic Games to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, although he considered that, given the situation, the decision is “the correct one.”
The world number one showed his regret on Twitter, where he included a photograph of himself with a shoe on his left hand with the legend Tokyo 2020.
«I took this photo last year in Japan. I am sad that the Olympic Games are being postponed but I am sure that the decision is the correct one for the collective health of all those affected. Let’s now look forward to the Tokyo 2021 Games, ”says the Belgrade player.
This message joins the one he issued two days ago on social networks. «My goal is to be productive and proactive but in harmony with peace and inner understanding of our true essence. We cannot be healthy if our world is not healthy. This is the time for all of us to come together and unite. Let’s really try to spend quality time with the family at home, enjoying the little things in life. Let’s try to laugh, love and take time for inner work.
“By being at home we not only help the virus not to spread. It is also an opportunity to do all of this. We are all one and we live in the same world “, Djokovic completed in his message.
