Djokovic says he wants to have alternatives to decide on his body

The Serbian Novak Djokovic, number one in the world, who had shown his doubts about being vaccinated against COVID-19, has clarified that although he is not an expert, he wants to have alternatives to decide on his body, reports the press of this country.

“I am not an expert, but I want to have the option to choose the best for my body”, picks up today the electronic version of the weekly “Nedeljnik” on some statements sent by Djokovic’s agents to the American newspaper New York Times about their positions on vaccination.

“I have an open mind and I want to continue investigating the issue because it is very important and will affect us all,” said the Serbian star, also quoted by the Tanjug agency.

Djokovic admits that he is confused about the new coronavirus. Honestly, like the rest of the world, I’m a bit confused. Despite having access to information, I don’t know what is the best way to react in this situation, “he said.

Djokovic declared on Sunday that he was “personally against vaccination” and that he would not want someone to force him to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to travel the world.

But if this becomes an obligation, what will happen then? Then I will have to make a decision, “he said.

The well-known Serbian epidemiologist Predrag Kon commented on Monday that Djokovic’s position is a mistake and that he would like to explain to him the enormous importance of immunization for human health.
