Djokovic stops Coria in Belgrade quarter-finals

The world number 1, Serbian Novak Djokovic, stopped short the progression of Argentine Federico Coria (96th), whom he defeated 6-1 and 6-0, this Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Belgrade Tournament.

In the first game of his career against a world No. 1, Coria could not take a single game to serve.

‘Nole’ will play on Friday for a place in the final ‘at home’ against Slovak Andrej Martin (119th) or Serbian Dusan Lajovic (39th).

Another Slovak tennis player, Alex Molcan (255th) beat Spanish Fernando Verdasco (107th) 6-2 and 6-0 in their quarterfinal match.

The Belgrade tournament is played on clay and distributes $ 625,000 in prizes.
