Djokovic wins his fifth Wimbledon in epic final against Federer

The Serbian Novak Djokovic, the world’s first racket, won his fifth Wimbledon tournament, defeating the Swiss Roger Federer in an epic final, which broke the record for the duration of this Grand Slam, in five sets.

Djokovic needed four hours and 55 minutes to beat the second-seeded Swiss 7-6 (7/5) 1-6, 7-6 (7/4), 4-6 and 13-12 (7-3 ), reverting to a final 12-12 tie-break for the first time after the rule change at Wimbledon. AFP
