The Dodgers placed starter Clayton Kershaw on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a sore left elbow.
Kershaw, a three-time National League Cy Young Award winner, is 9-7 with a 3.39 ERA in 106 innings this season. The 33-year-old southpaw is tied for the lead on the old circuit with 18 starts.
In his previous outing he allowed three touchdowns in four innings, on July 3 in Washington, meeting in which he made 54 pitches. His next outing was scheduled for Friday in Arizona.
Los Angeles called up right-hander Mitch White from Triple-A Oklahoma City to fill in for Kershaw on the roster. (AP)
