Dominican baseball player Marcell Ozuna arrested for domestic violence

The Dominican slugger Marcell Ozuna, of the Atlanta Braves of the Major Leagues, was arrested this Saturday by the Sandy’s Prince police department, who filed domestic violence charges against him.

Ozuna was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia, and charged with aggravated strangulation and another count of domestic violence.

The player, who signed a four-year contract with the Braves prior to 2021, is on the disabled list after dislocating two fingers on his left hand this week.

Major League Baseball’s domestic violence policy is extremely severe in cases like this and a prolonged suspension is anticipated for the Dominican.

This is the second time that there has been a case of violence in which Ozuna has been involved.
