Ehrlacher and Michelisz celebrated at the Argentine circuit of Termas

The French Yann Ehrlacher (Vesta) and the Hungarian Norbert Michelisz achieved victories today in the Argentine circuit of Termas de Río Hondo in the province of Santiago del Estero, where the sixth round of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) was held.

In his fifth consecutive visit to Argentina, the category had in his first race as winner the Frenchman Ehrlacher, after the five-second penalty to the Englishman Tom Chilton, who dropped to fourth place.

The Moroccan Mehdi Bennani (Citröen Elyseé) and the Argentine Esteban Guerrieri (Chevrolet Cruze) completed the podium of this first race.

Meanwhile, in the second race of the double day, the victory belonged to the Hungarian Michelisz (Honda Civic), who was escorted by the Portuguese Tiago Monteiro (Honda Civic) and the Swede Thed Bjork (Volvo S60).

With these results, the Portuguese Tiago Monteiro is the leader of the general classification with 174 points, followed by the Swede Thed Bjork with 168 and the Dutch Nick Catsburg with 154.

The next World Touring Car competition, seventh on the calendar, will be held on October 15 in China. EFE
