FIA to judge Ferrari for controversial win in Germany

PARIS, (AFP) – The Ferrari team will be judged on Wednesday by the International Automobile Federation for having asked the Brazilian Felipe Massa to leave the first position to his teammate, the Spanish Fernando Alonso, to win the German Grand Prix on July 25.

Massa, who was leading the race at Hockenheim, received a radio message from his team whose slogan has been banned since 2002: “Fernando is faster than you. Can you confirm that you have understood the message?

The Brazilian, then, began to slow down his car until the Asturian overtook him and won the race. Alonso is currently in 5th position, with 141 points, after failing in the last race in Belgium, while Massa is in 6th place, with 109 points.
