FIFA and UEFA mourn Müller’s passing

FIFA and UEFA have issued separate statements in which they mourn the death of former German striker Gerd ‘Torpedo’ Müller at the age of 75.

“FIFA deeply regrets the death of Gerd Müller. ‘The Bomber’ was the Golden Boot of the 1970 World Cup and scored the title goal for the Federal Republic of Germany 4 years later. Our condolences to his family, friends and the German football fans. RIP “, indicates the highest universal football organization.
