Five Olympic tickets for Argentine boxing

The pre Olympic held in Buenos Aires was left behind. And, so far, there are five Argentine boxers who are already to compete in the Rio Games.
“I confess that I was very afraid,” says Julio García, the coach of the National Team. “Lately, for each Game there was only one Argentine –except for London, 2012, where Yamil Peralta and Alberto Melián traveled-, and I had the fear of being the coach who in this case had one… or none… Having classified five and having Bear in mind that there could be some more in the future, it is something but very important… ”.
Fernando Martínez (52 kilos), Alberto Melián (56), Ignacio Perrín (60), Alberto Palmetta (69) and Yamil Peralta (91) are, until that moment, the five chosen.
It must be borne in mind, with a good dose of optimism, that there are still two opportunities. The Youth World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, in May and then, a month later, in June, the World Pre-Olympic in Arzebayjain.
“There were not too many local failures, no one stole anything from anyone and that is why I feel so confident and happy,” confirmed Julio García.
It is evident, yes, that the local always helps, and we are not talking only about the failures – where of course, it is an extra factor in any part of the world – but in everything that surrounds the competition. (Courtesy of Espn.com.ar).
