Foden, the player with the highest estimated transfer value

Manchester City English striker Phil Foden (190.2 million euros) would be the player with the most expensive transfer, according to the CIES Football Observatory, which has published a biannual ranking of the footballers of the five major leagues in Europe with the highest estimated value of transfer.

CIES has taken into account, to set the supposed transfer price, a statistical model that includes variables related to the player (length of contract, age, international status, progression of his career and performances), his club (sports level and economic level) and the context (inflation).

Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood (€ 178 M) occupies the second box and his teammate, Marcus Rashford (€ 159.1 M) closes a podium made entirely of English.
