The six-time NBA champion and majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets attended the grand opening of Novant Health’s Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic, which cost $ 7 million.

The first official announcement of his donation of seven million dollars for the project that began operation this Thursday was made by Jordan in 2017.

While through the Hornets Twitter account, Jordan also announced this Thursday his commitment to continue helping the community.

Hall of Famer O’Neal has donated a home to an Atlanta woman whose 12-year-old son was shot at a football game and paralyzed from the chest down.

O’Neal told WXIA-TV that Isaiah Payton’s family lived in a one-bedroom apartment that was not accessible to people with disabilities, but that they now have a home in a good neighborhood.

The former Los Angeles Lakers figure reported that she is helping furnish the house and will pay rent for next year.

“It’s sad,” O’Neal remarked. It could have been any of us. It could have been my son. It could have been your cousin. She lived in a one-bedroom apartment with her two children, so we found her a house in a nice area. “

A 15-year-old was arrested by police Wednesday in connection with the shooting that paralyzed Payton, and received formal charges of aggravated assault.

While Barnes and his wife and Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Malik Jackson have offered to pay for the funeral of a Fort Worth (Texas) woman, killed at her home by a police officer last week.

Atatiana Jefferson, 28, was caring for her 8-year-old nephew on Saturday when a police officer conducting a wellness check shot through her home window and killed her. The officer was responding to a call about an open door at the residence.

“My wife and I wanted to do something for that family,” Barnes told reporters.

“It was a tragic situation what happened. No one should be killed during a security check. But the most important thing is that every time someone has to go through it, the last thing they have to worry about is trying to get the money for a funeral. ” EFE
