Former world boxing champion Klitschko joins UEFA Children’s Foundation

Former Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, world heavyweight champion, and the director general of democracy at the Council of Europe, Snezana Samardzic-Markovic of Serbia, joined as new members of the UEFA Foundation for Children.

In the words of its president, the Slovenian Aleksander Ceferin, both “are committed to the fight to improve the lives of disadvantaged children around the world and we are now in a fortunate position to draw on their knowledge and experiences.”

“All children have the right to believe in a better future and I am very happy to have the opportunity to join the UEFA Foundation for Children to help other children. We must convey the message to everyone that nothing is impossible. Anything is possible if you have the will, desire and understanding that new goals can be achieved, ”Klitschko said.

From his new role, Samardzic-Markovic also relied on using his experience in the field of children’s rights, sport and integrity “to help the Foundation implement its projects around the world.”
