Frenchman Gaël Monfils wins the 9th title of his career in Montpellier

The French tennis player Gaël Monfils conquered the ninth title of his career at the age of 33 by defeating Canadian Vasek Pospisil this Sunday in the final of the ATP-250 Tournament in Montpellier.

Monfils, 9th in the world, beat Pospisil, 132nd, in two sets 7-5, 6-3.

The Frenchman’s last title dated back to February 2019 in Rotterdam.

The Montpellier Tournament was played on a hard surface and distributed 606,350 euros in prizes.
