Ace Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees tested positive for Coronavirus and was sent to the MLB protocol list.
After coming out of a crisis where Jonathan Loaisiga, Wandy Peralta, Nestor Cortes Jr, Aaron Judge and Kyle Higashioka were out due to Coronavirus, now the New York Yankees see their best starter fall and possibly be out for more than 10 days of the season. MLB.
Gerrit Cole was scheduled to make an outing this Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles, the same one that will be lost due to the coronavirus. In his last outing against the Tampa Bay Rays he allowed about 6 runs in 5 innings of work, one of the worst being a Yankee.
So far this season, Cole is 10-6 with a 3.11 ERA over 130 innings with 176 strikeouts. (Fielding)
