Britain’s Lewis Hamilton and his team, Mercedes, received the trophies that accredit them as Formula One drivers and constructors world champions this Friday during the International Federation (FIA) Gala, held in Doha.
“This has been an incredible season and one of the toughest I have ever been involved in,” said Hamilton after receiving his second world champion title, reports the FIA.
“We had an excellent car, which both Nico (Rosberg) and me have allowed us to fight all year. I am very grateful to Mercedes for giving us this opportunity, and to the team for their hard work, ”he added.
“As I said in Abu Dhabi, winning the first title was fantastic, but this victory was even more special and I hope it is a sign of future successes with Mercedes,” he said. EFE
