Briton Lewis Hamilton ended the first free practice sessions of the Spanish Grand Prix with bad feelings, assuring that “it was not an easy day” due to problems with the stability of his Mercedes.
The three-time Formula One World Champion has seen how this Friday he was overtaken not only by his teammate, the German Nico Rosberg, but also the Ferraris of the Finn Kimi Raikkonen and the Teuton Sebastian Vettel, who have achieved the three best times of the day.
“It was not an easy day for me, I had problems with the balance of the car, especially in the afternoon session, so the driving was difficult,” he said.
To this has been added the traffic that, as explained by the current F1 champion, has been found when he was about to make his fast run.
“The fast laps do not explain reality, but it is clear that this afternoon we will have to work hard to get the car I want for tomorrow,” he said.
In any case, Hamilton, winner of the Spanish GP in 2014, has been convinced that he can turn around the situation experienced this Friday.
“We are going to raise our heads this afternoon, we will analyze all the data of the car and I trust that we can solve things with a view to tomorrow,” he concluded.
