Hazard trains alone

The captain of the Belgian team, Eden Hazard, trained on Tuesday separately from the group in the first full training session in the “Red Devils” concentration to prepare for the Eurocup.

The Real Madrid forward, who on Monday acknowledged at a press conference that in the last game with the club he still felt pain in one leg, had indicated that he was contemplating doing a few days of individual training to recover.

Hazard, who has lived two years plagued with injuries, has not played for Belgium since December 2019 but upon reaching the concentration of the team led by Spanish Roberto Martínez said that he is confident in being able to be at the highest level for Belgium’s first game at the European Championship on June 12 against Russia.

Belgium will play this Thursday a first friendly match against Greece, followed by another on Sunday against Croatia, to then start the group stage of the Eurocup. EFE (HN)
