Heat does not have priority to extend contract to Bam Adebayo

Miami Heat management does not appear to have among its immediate plans to secure the services of Bam Adebayo in the near future. The center is eligible to sign a maximum salary contract, but in Florida he does not want to commit to that amount of money now.
According to Albert Nahmad, an expert on salary caps in the NBA, in Florida they have among their objectives to sign Giannis Antetokounmpo in free agency in 2021 and that is why they would not want to spend money now on their starting center.
The 23-year-old is coming off his best regular round with Miami since he was selected by the franchise in the 2017 draft.
He had participation in 72 games with averages of 15.9 points and 10. 2 rebounds. He also went to the first All-Star Game of his career. (GG) (12UP)
