Honduran baseball players shined by beating the Dominican Republic

The Honduran U-10 baseball team made history at the Pan American, which takes place in Managua, Nicaragua, by surprisingly defeating the Dominican Republic, considered a power in this sport.

The little catrachos were the big surprise when they beat the Dominicans 7-4, however in the opening game they had lost 11-0 against Brazil. Yesterday the Hondurans also defeated Guatemala, and it remains for them to seek qualification against Mexico and Ecuador.

The Honduran children’s team was sworn in last Friday the 14th by Honduran sports authorities. Twelve teams participate in this sporting event, for which two groups were formed, with Honduras being one of the most difficult with: Brazil, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Mexico and Ecuador.
