Hong Kong winner Daniel Abt is disqualified after race

The German Daniel Abt, winner this Sunday in Hong Kong of the second race of the Formula E World Championship, has been disqualified after the test for violating the technical regulations of the competition.

The competition organization explains on its website that the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team driver was disqualified after technical checks carried out at the end of the test.

During them, the International Federation of Motoring (FIA) observed that the components of Daniel Abt’s car did not match those of his passport.

This gives Sweden’s Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra) victory in the second race in Hong Kong.

Faced with this decision, the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team has announced that it will file an appeal. It will claim that it is “an administrative error”.
