The Italian Ducati rider, Andrea Iannone, who in the last Moto GP race in Italy achieved the speed record, touching 354.9 kilometers per hour, assured that it is like being in “a tunnel” and that you only look ” ahead”.
You’re in a tunnel, you just look ahead. Breathing is also interrupted, but that happens in all accelerations. You cannot be afraid. (…) It is as if the brain is left behind, like a boxer when he receives a punch “, Iannone told the” Gazzetta dello Sport “.
The Italian driver also assured that the “adrenaline is incredible.”
«I can say that the adrenaline is incredible, for me living with this is like touching the sky with a finger. It is a very high speed. It is not much, but it is not easy to manage it, “he said.
Iannone also stressed that when you go so strong you should not “make mistakes.”
«At these levels, if you go to 350 or 300, you must not be wrong. A normal person doesn’t get to those things. For us it is like going 100 kilometers per hour, it is something we are used to, but rationally you cannot achieve it, “he said.
The Ducati rider also stressed that on the rectilinear track of the Mugello circuit (Tuscany, center), there is a moment when his motorcycle “lifts up” with both wheels and that makes him “a little scared”.
«In that part my motorcycle lifts for a moment on both wheels. It gives you a little scary but it is like in the roller coasters. When you are there it scares you but when you go down you already want to do it again, “he said. EFE
