Italy coach Roberto Mancini tests positive for covid-19

The Italian soccer coach, Roberto Mancini, tested positive for the new coronavirus, the Italian Federation (FIGC) announced on its official website on Friday, specifying that the coach had undergone “periodic checks” like the rest of the body’s staff.

Mancini, 55, has no symptoms and has been isolated at his Roman home, the FIGC said.

This positive comes at a time when the Italian team must play a friendly match next Wednesday against Estonia, preparatory to the next two League of Nations matches, against Poland on November 15 and against Bosnia on 18. AFP (hn).
