The French driver Jean-Eric Vergne, who this year competed with Toro Rosso in the Formula One World Championship, will debut next weekend in the Andretti Formula E team, the championship that begins in Punta del Este (Uruguay).
Vergne was left without a steering wheel in Formula One when the Toro Rosso team signed Spanish Carlos Sainz junior to team up with Dutchman Max Verstappen.
The French driver will coincide in the American team with his compatriot Franck Montagny in the third edition of this championship, reserved for electric cars.
