Jovic, “about” to return to Eintracht Frankfurt

Serbian Luka Jovic is close to returning to Eintracht Frankfurt, the club from which he signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, as confirmed by the German team’s own sporting director, Fredi Bobic.

“Luka Jovic is about to join our club until next summer. There are still some details left, such as the medical check-up, but if all is well, he will return to us soon, “said the manager, as shared by the club on his official Twitter account.

A return of Jovic to Germany that occurs after having little prominence during his stay in the capital of Spain. 32 games in which he has scored two goals and has distributed two assists, numbers that are far from those he signed in a spectacular 2018/2019 season: 27 goals and 7 assists in 48 games.

A level that he hopes to recover by returning in the form of a loan to Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of this season since his situation at Real Madrid does not seem to improve in the remainder of the season.

Jovic was already absent for last Saturday’s match in Pamplona (0-0) and he also did not travel to Malaga for the semi-final dispute of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday (9:00 p.m. CET).

The forward suffered an overload that prevented him, at the last minute, from joining the expedition to Pamplona. A nuisance that causes the loss of a player who is not having minutes with the French Zinedine Zidane and who, between injuries and substitutions, has not played a single minute in two months. On November 8, with seven minutes left in Mestalla’s defeat against Valencia (4-1), it was his last appearance, just before suffering the coronavirus.

A march that the Eintracht de Frankfurt take for granted before the media and that could have occurred on September 21, when Jovic, according to EFE, already pressed to return to Germany. Now, almost four months later, his wish is close to being fulfilled. EFE (HN)
