Juan Francisco Estrada retained his world titles

The Mexican Juan Francisco Estrada retained the title of flyweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO) by beating his compatriot Giovani Segura on the fast track.
In a fight in the Mexican capital, Estrada gave a masterclass in good boxing and from the first minute he began to tip the fight in his favor with good combinations, great leg speed and effective counterattack.
Brave, Giovani Segura matched the actions in the second round and from then on he sought combat at close range, which his rival avoided by pushing him away.
In the third, as a consequence of the punishment, Segura suffered an inflammation of the right cheekbone, he tried to resist, but the more time passed, the greater the dominance of Estrada.
A great left blow in the seventh was about to knock down Segura, who despite receiving a lot, sought to respond with hooks well dodged by the champion.
By the tenth round, Segura found it increasingly difficult to decipher the attacks of the opponent who sought the knockout and achieved it at minute 33 seconds of the eleventh round.
The 26-year-old Estrada posted his 27th professional win, 20 on the fast track, with two setbacks, and Segura, 32, suffered his fourth loss with 32 wins and a draw.
Shortly before, the Mexican Jackie Nava, champion of the WBA, defeated the Jamaican Alicia Ashley, and snatched the belt of the World Boxing Council, with cards of 98-92, 95-95 and 97-93.
