The Argentine Juan Mónaco has given the surprise in the second round of the Indian Wells tournament, by beating the Croatian Marin Cilic, tenth seed.
Monaco, finalist of the tournament in Buenos Aires this year (lost to Nadal), won by a double 6-4 in one hour and 25 minutes, and in the next tie they will face the winner of the match between the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis and the Spanish Guillermo Garcia Lopez.
On this occasion the Argentine, who lost in his first confrontation with Cilic at the 2008 Beijing Games, repeated his victory from his second match with the Balkan, at the 2009 Masters 1000 in Rome.
