The Dodgers will activate star left-hander Clayton Kershaw, manager Dave Roberts told reporters, including MLB.com’s Ken Gurnick (Twitter link). He will make his season debut Sunday in Arizona.
Kershaw had been sidelined two starts because of a back strain. That issue was not necessarily so worrying because it was somewhat mild, although the future Hall of Fame has had particular problems in that area throughout its career.
Fortunately, it appears that this outbreak was minor. The 32-year-old Kershaw has clearly declined in recent years. However, he was able to pitch 178 1/3 innings of 3.03 ERA in 2019. (GG) (Taken MLB Rumors)
