King Juan Carlos went this Friday to the Sakhir circuit, venue of the Bahrain Grand Prix, the second of the Formula One World Cup, where he greeted the two Spanish drivers competing in the premier class, the Asturian Fernando Alonso (McLaren) and the Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso) from Madrid.
The King Emeritus greeted the Asturian double world champion (2005 and 2006, with Renault) -injured in a spectacular accident in Australia, two Sundays ago, but who does not race in Bahrain, having failed the medical tests carried out on Thursday by the FIA (International Automobile Federation) – and the young Madrid driver, who is in his second season in Formula One.
Don Juan Carlos talked and photographed himself with both, as well as Carlos Sainz, father, double world rally champion, who is also in Bahrain, where free practice began this Friday with a view to Sunday’s race.
