Klay Thompson out of 2021 season due to serious injury

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson was ruled out of the upcoming 2020-21 NBA season due to a new injury.

According to The NBA Score, Thompson suffered a tear in his Achilles tendon in his right leg, although it was not the left one where he had surgery last season, now he will have to undergo another surgery and will be ready for the 2022-23 season.

Klay Thompson suffered an injury to his left knee last season and missed the 2020 season, now he re-injured the Achilles tendon in his right leg and will miss the NBA 2021.

Now Thompson will miss two consecutive NBA seasons, his last appearance in a game was in the 2019 Finals in Game 6 against the Toronto Raptors, when he suffered a knockdown.

Thompson, 30, signed a contract extension of 189 million for 5 seasons in 2019, however, he has not been able to exercise a year of that contract due to injuries.
